hERETICS iN tHE lAB (Norfolk, VA *Sacrifice Records*)
"They are well practiced, smooth and incite motion from the crowd who move as if driven. The Heretics here have found willing participants in their frenzy. More than one person knows all the lyrics and mouths along in rapt attention. The songs have a rise and fall to them that is hypnotic, hitting driving sections that fall away to near-quiet reflection in turn. It is a rocking, listing motion that the crowd imitates. The stage is dark, punched through with red and blue etching each man in a cartoonish glow as they move and thrash. They look unreal like the sort of monsters you create in the darkness when you cannot sleep. None of them look quite real, or quite human. The crowd is driven to restless frenzy again when the lead adds his guitar to the mix, standing in the crowd facing the rest of the band. They feed off the attention, demanding more. I imagine if he gave them the chance, they’d swallow him whole and still beg for more." http://indraproductions.com/3teeth-heretics-in-the-lab-and-machines-of-living-death-at-the-fallout-rva

Black Blinds (Norfolk, VA *Control Records*)
"We first introduced you to haunting electronic duo Black Blinds back in 2013 with the premiere of their "Bloodbath" video. And we were bummed not to hear from them for a few years. Finally, they are back and prepping to release a new EP titled Latitudes. The five-track collection sees them infuse their echoing darkwave with more rock and fuller production values, revealing a more exciting Black Blinds than the one we met on their self-titled album so many years ago." http://www.altpress.com/apr/artist/august_2013_ap_301/31142/

Pain In The Yeahs (Chesapeake, VA)
"Pain In The Yeahs, often referred to as PITY is the music of Virginia native James Wagner. The project started in 2012 as an escape of sorts from playing in a long line of hardcore bands with varying degrees of notoriety. The first demos were constructed at home when roommates were out, using a second-hand keyboard, freeware recording software and a limited understanding of audio engineering. The early material took influence from the stripped down nature of The Cure’s Pornography, whereas the current and evolving sound takes cues from new wave, proto punk and various eras of rock and roll." https://jammerzine.com/daily-dose-pain-in-the-yeahs-anyone-but-you/
