Bio Ritmo is recognized around the globe as one of the most intriguing and influential salsa bands of the last two decades. Based out of Richmond, VA, since 1991, the ten-piece orchestra has toured multiple times across North America, Europe and Puerto Rico. They have self-released numerous albums and worked with Merge, Vampisoul (Spain), World Music Network (UK), Electric Cowbell and Peace & Rhythm Records. Pioneers of the indie-salsa movement, critics have described Bio Rimto as “Latin music visionaries” and “one of the most innovative salsa bands of the 21st century”.

Kadencia
Kadencia is a 13-piece orchestra comprised of professional musicians that have toured with some of the best local and internationally renowned bands in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region. Founded in Puerto Rico by singer-songwriter Maurice Sanabria-Ortiz and percussionist Roberto Candelario, Kadencia now calls Richmond, Virginia its home base. The band has quickly made an impact in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States through performances that deliver heavy-hitting original music. Kadencia is dedicated to conserving and promoting Afro-Puerto Rican music. The band uses Bomba, Plena, and Salsa to promulgate Puerto Rican culture, educate audiences on the Island’s native musical expressions, and make audiences move in ways they never knew possible.
