Join bands Tornado Bait, Coyote Beach, and The Lonely Teardrops, along with master of ceremonies Mike Holtzclaw, artist Dwight Easter and a host of merry friends for “Hampton for the Holidays: The Legend of the Christmas Spider.”
A tale believed to have been spun in the 1800’s may be true today. Originating in Eastern Europe, the legend tells of a Christmas Eve when a mother tucked her children into bed just as a mother spider did the same. The tree was barren of decorations as the family did not have much. On Christmas morning, the family awoke to a beautiful shiny web that the spider had spun during the night. The mother spider wanted to bless the family with tinsel and holiday glee.
Through music, comedy and storytelling, discover for yourself that the Legend of the Christmas Spider is real.
Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Proceeds support the museum.
Admission is free to museum members, $5 for non-members. Admission is at the door. Doors open at 5:30. Capacity is limited and first-come, first-served.
